Chris Borah
Vicar & Planting Priest of Christ the King

Some traditions use personal titles like “Brother” or “Pastor” to show affection. Each title emphasizes a different aspect of our mutual affection in Christ. Chris answers to them all, because he is truly your brother, your friend, your father, your family in Christ.
In short, Fr Chris is our pastor.1 He is an unworthy recipient of God’s grace through faith, an adopted son of King Jesus, the husband of Jodee, dad to three delightful kids, a father to many sons and daughters in Christ, and a priest in the Anglican Communion.
What is my role?
My role as Vicar of Christ the King Anglican Church is to hold fast to Jesus, proclaim the excellencies of Jesus, faithfully administer the sacraments, pray for those in my care, guide and protect the flock, and be faithful to the Scriptures… and lead others to do the same. I also love teaching my children, playing chess / Super Mario / guitar / pickup soccer games (I love to play), woodworking / building, reading good books, and puzzling with my bride.
Derek Bonnett
Deacon & Treasurer

Dn Derek serves CtK with great joy and humility. Derek embodies the presence of Jesus amongst the people of God, not only as he proclaims the gospel in the midst of the liturgy, but in all of life, Derek adorns the Truth with holiness of life. Dn Derek instructs both young and old in the Catechism, cares for our parish in his oversight and stewardship of the finances, and strengthens the Church with his preaching. If Derek isn’t exploring the depths of sacramental theology, he’s probably spending time with his beloved bride and playing with his boys.

Vestry
Our Vestry2 regularly meets with Fr Chris to give him wise counsel in his oversight of our church. Presently, we have seven members of our vestry: Kevin Wilson, Curtis Sams, Angela Young, Josiah Smith, Greg Madison, Isaac Slone, and Autumn Brown.
CtK Internship
Beginning in the Fall of 2025
The CtK Internship program exists to prepare men and women for vocational service to Jesus and his Church. Internships are custom-designed to explore and identify potential clerical or lay ministry callings. We provide a pathway for theological development along with practical ministry experience designed to prepare them for a life in ministry. CtK interns will begin to discern whether they are called to vocational ministry and ordination, or if they are called to various lay ministries, including lay catechists, lay preachers, serving on church staff, pursuing local and global mission work, or parachurch ministries.
Applications for Internships beginning in January are due by the end of October, and for Internships beginning in August are due by the end of May.
In 2023, CtK sent out Fr Nate Dickinson, along with Fr Scott Berg, to begin a new church plant in Nicholas County…
